Hints and full mechanic
Hint One How should the orbs be used?
Each orb must be deposited into the part of the Totem that matches its magic color.
Hint TwoWhy does the Totem keep charging?
Channelers continuously feed magic into the Totem. Defeat them to stop that source of charging.
Strong HintWhat happens when I deposit the wrong color?
Full SpoilerReveal the complete encounter solution
Kill enemies to collect magic orbs, then explicitly deposit each orb into the matching colored section of the Totem.
Eliminate the channelers whenever they appear so they stop feeding additional magic into the encounter. Avoid depositing an orb into the wrong color, because the mismatched section will fill more quickly and move closer to overflowing.
Continue matching orb colors and controlling the channelers until the Totem is stabilized and the encounter completes.
Playtest verification
Expected behavior
Orb Deposits
A carried orb should only affect the Totem when the player explicitly deposits it. Walking across another section should not automatically consume the orb.
Matching Colors
Depositing the correct color should reduce the magic overheating. Depositing the wrong color should visibly increase the pressure on the mismatched section.
Channelers
Seravyn - A channeler should continue charging the Totem. They should focus on obelisk section that may still be corrupted. Defeating that channeler should stop its contribution.
